All BBS-LA Dial-Up Subscriptions are flat rate unlimited time Internet Access accounts with no per hour charges or other hidden fees.
MultiPOP: BBS-LA provides Local and National dial-up access through an extensive series of points-of-presence (POPS) throughout the continental United States and in Canada (Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal). These POPS provide dial-up 56Kbps V.90 and ISDN access through digital PRI phone lines but also support slower 14,400, 28,800 and 33,600bps analog access as well. The MultiPOP system is constantly being expanded to provide local access numbers in more areas around the country.
Multi-Link is a new protocol in Windows that allows for two analog modems with separate phone lines to be joined into a single Internet connection with the combined bandwidth of both modems. The modems do not have to be the same speed, brand or type. This feature has been available for some time with digital ISDN modems but is now available with analog modems as well. The subscriber does not have to have two accounts; two connections can be made from a single account (USERID). This is a premium subscription with a higher rate than the normal single channel subscription, and requires additional set-up.
